Kealan Kenny

Lead Guitar

Having played in numerous musicals, public performances and private and corporate events & functions, Kealan has racked up a huge amount of experience being a part of various ensembles. He is the lead guitarist in the Cork based wedding band Groove Collective.

Frequently performing in Cork, Kealan has also played some of Irelands biggest music venues and festivals with various artists. Having recorded in Studios like Windmill Lane, Westland Studios and various local studios in Cork, Kealan plans on writing and playing on as much original music as he can.

Having studied in the Cork School Of Music Bachelor of Popular Music for four years, Kealan now teaches guitar, and regularly plays in acoustic groups and has been involved in original projects that have played Sofar Sounds, White horse Sessions and supported some of Irelands most successful music acts.

He believes that Groove Collective is a fresh approach on the outdated "showband" and provides an experience unlike any other wedding band in Ireland, offering a wide variety of musical genres that are challenging, exciting and fun for both the musicians and the audience.

For the coming year Kealan has a busy schedule of gigs and festival dates across the country.

Kealan plans continuing as a professional musician and getting involved in many more music projects.
